MOON CASHMERE PLAID

The finest, hand-carded and -spun cashmere wool from the Altai Himalayas is used to weave the Gisbert Pöppler blankets.

For plaid moon, a blanket is first woven from the finest natural white cashmere. Before the dyeing process, circular wooden stencils (moons) are firmly clamped onto the blanket. Several moons are added on each dip to create the delicate color gradient. The white ones appear where the first wood stencils remained throughout the dying process.
